At Speaking Life Speech Therapy & Wellness, we understand that consistent practice is key to maintaining and building speech and language skills. Our Summer IEP Speech Therapy program brings licensed Speech-Language Pathologists directly to your home or favorite community spaces, creating a comfortable, familiar environment where your child can thrive.

Our play-based approach transforms speech therapy into an experience your child will look forward to each week. Through engaging games, favorite toys, and activities tailored to your child’s interests, we make working on speech goals feel like summertime fun—not summer school.

How It Works:

Register now

1. Choose Your Package

Select the summer package that fits your family’s needs and schedule—either our 5-session package or our value-packed 10-session option. Both packages provide targeted therapy with the convenience of home-based sessions.

2. Submit Your Child’s IEP

Upon registration, you’ll receive an email with instructions on how to register with our scheduling system and additional forms to be completed prior to your child’s first session. We will also need a copy of your child’s current IEP. This allows our therapists to review goals ahead of time and customize a summer therapy plan specifically for your child’s needs.

3. Schedule Your Summer

Our scheduling team will contact families in order based on when they purchased their package beginning May 15th to plan all summer sessions between June 16 – August 31, 2025. We’ll work around your vacation plans and find consistent weekly times that work best for your family.

4. Enjoy Therapy at Home

When summer arrives, your child’s assigned Speech-Language Pathologist will come directly to your home or agreed community location, bringing engaging materials tailored to your child’s interests and goals. Parents are encouraged to observe and participate in sessions.

**If your child is in a daycare and we are able to get approval to come in and provide services, this is also an option. It is up to parents to discuss this with the individual childcare provider. **

5. Receive Progress Summary

After your final summer session, you’ll receive a detailed written summary of your child’s progress on each IEP goal, along with recommendations for continued practice as the new school year begins.

Package 1: 5-Session Summer Package

Price: $375

FAQs

We understand summer plans can change. Sessions canceled with more than 24 hours’ notice may be rescheduled IF the therapist’s schedule allows. Unfortunately, sessions canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice cannot be made up, and you will forfeit the cost of that session. Sessions canceled by your therapist will always be rescheduled.

This year we are offering in person services in the following Southeastern WI areas: Oak Creek, Caledonia, Mount Pleasant, Racine, Sturtevant, and Union Grove. Clients who are located further west than hwy 45 in Racine County may incur a travel fee or opt to choose a community location closer to Racine.

Virtually, anyone living in Wisconsin can receive summer IEP speech therapy.

Speaking Life Speech Therapy & Wellness does not accept insurance at this time. Summer packages are prepaid with cash, check, or card. Summer packages are not eligible for super bills.

Required clinic forms (HIPPA, Communications, etc) will be sent out for signature within 48 hours of purchasing your package. You have 48 hours from receiving these forms and agreements to either complete the forms or terminate the package purchase for a full refund. Once clinic forms have been signed, sales will be considered final.

If for any reason Speaking Life Speech Therapy & Wellness is unable to continue to provide services, a refund of any used sessions will be issued.

Each session lasts 30 minutes and typically follows a play-based approach. Your therapist may bring materials or use items you already have in your home. Activities will target your child’s specific IEP goals while incorporating their interests. Sessions typically include a warm-up activity, 2-3 goal-directed activities, and a closing activity that often includes home practice suggestions. Parent education and participation is crucial in aiding progress.

Yes! Virtual speech therapy is always an option if this works better for you or your child. You can work with your therapist to set up any virtual sessions needed.

Our summer packages are specifically designed for children with existing IEPs. However, we do offer standard private therapy options for children without IEPs. Please contact our office for more information about our evaluation and regular therapy services.

Nothing special is required! Our therapists bring specialized therapy materials to each session. We often use everyday items from your home (with permission) to demonstrate how speech practice can be incorporated into daily routines.
